Life is full of ups and downs that can make us feel everything from the lowest, like the pain of personal wounds, to the highest, like pure and noble love.

Each person faces their personal challenges differently; some have a greater tendency to hold on to their pain and wounds, while others can let go more easily.

We are all designed differently; none of us are right or wrong; we simply have different teachings. The challenges and obstacles each person faces are perfectly designed for their evolution; their soul chose them.

If you are one of those people who easily gets caught up in intrusive thoughts and finds it difficult to break out of that chain of negative thoughts it creates in your mind, let me tell you first and foremost: you shouldn't feel bad about it.

You are a human being experiencing your life on Earth. You don't have to know everything. You are here to learn, and that is simply one of the things you must work on.

Be patient and compassionate with yourself in your process. Only you know everything you've been through and how resilient you have been.

Now, I'm going to share with you an exercise that has helped me personally when I feel like I'm trapped in a chain of negative thoughts and don't know how to get out.

EXERCISE:

This exercise consists of reprogramming your subconscious through affirmations and writing.

I always say, "When I can't think of something nice or positive to say to myself to start the day, I have someone saying it to me." In other words, I write my affirmations.

When you wake up, use the first moment of the day to reprogram your mind.

Have some tea, lemon water, or coffee, and sit down for a moment with your notebook to do this exercise.

Step 1:

Find an affirmation video or audio that you feel connected to. Look for one that has affirmations about what you feel you need to work on. For example: Affirmations to start the day positively, Affirmations to heal the inner child, Affirmations for forgiveness, Affirmations for self-esteem, Affirmations for deservingness, etc.

Below, I'll leave you some links to audios that I've liked so you can review them and see if any of them resonate with you.

It's important that it's an audio that truly connects with you, that you like the tone of voice or the affirmations you're listening to. The perfect audio is one that fits your needs and inspires the thoughts you want to empower within yourself.

Step 2:

Sit in a comfortable place where you won't be disturbed for a moment and grab a notebook. It can be a notebook you dedicate exclusively to this.

While listening to the audio you chose, concentrate on listening and write down the affirmations that resonate most with you in your notebook. It's kind of like when you were made to do homework as a child, but this time it's not just one sentence but multiple, the ones you feel you want to implant deeply in your subconscious.

The idea with this is that when you write it down, it will be reinforced in your subconscious.

By writing it down, your brain is more open to accepting this affirmation as a thought, because you're no longer just hearing it from an external source; it's coming from within you. You're also paying double attention to the affirmations you hear and write down.

Step 3:

Repeat this exercise. Repeat it as often as you feel necessary. Return to it whenever you feel like you're falling into a vicious cycle of negative thoughts.

The recommendation would obviously be to do this every day for a month or 21 days in a row so that your brain can truly reinforce these affirmations as your thoughts, resulting in a more positive mindset for facing everyday situations or whatever afflicts you.

Give it a chance.

If you're going through a time when your mind is negative, I invite you to really give this exercise a chance and try it.

I know how difficult it can be to break out of negative thought patterns. Sometimes you want to get out of low-vibration thoughts and don't know how. It's like walking in circles.

In my personal experience, I've looked for alternatives to make that switch when I realize that a negative thought triggered a whole series of them, and I find myself repeating them. I've found myself at times when I wanted to make that mindset shift but couldn't find the way, and that's how I discovered this exercise. I want to share it because I realized it has definitely helped me in a positive way.

The purpose of this exercise is to replace your negative thoughts with positive ones. To use the attention you're using to think negatively to move it in a different direction, with a more positive perspective.

Be patient with yourself as you make the change. It's normal to continue resorting to your negative thoughts at first if that's what you're used to. Reprogramming your mind takes time, but it's definitely possible; it all depends on your openness and willingness to change.

It's easy to normalize negative states when that's what you frequently experience; but always remember that your quest for change is for the purpose of moving toward well-being. To live a life that makes you happy to wake up and excited to live.

Often, this has nothing to do with external circumstances but with your own state of mind. That's why it's very important to reinforce thoughts that nourish you and don't trap you in your own mind.

Allow yourself to live the life you deserve; give yourself permission to live in well-being.

Start the transformation of your mind, I trust in you.

Love, Mel.
